Asian Ginger Beef Recipe
1 lb (500 g) rump steak, thinly sliced across the grain
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Sugar to taste
1 teaspoon oil
3½ -oz (100-g) piece fresh ginger root, finely shredded
5 oz (150 g) sliced bamboo shoots (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Healthy Ginger Beef Recipe
Mix the beef with the soy sauce, cornstarch and sugar in a bowl. Set aside to marinate.
Heat the oil in a pan, add the ginger and fry until it is brown and crisp. Add the seasoned meat and bamboo shoots and stir-fry until the meat is cooked. Remove the pan from the heat and just before serving, stir in the sesame oil. Serve with rice and other dishes.
